This class focuses on the phenomenon of shorebird migration, worldwide. We'll also discuss shorebird reproductive strategies, since the two behaviors are strongly linked, and address some shorebird ID issues.
Shorebirds will be moving northward to nest, and this is a great opportunity to see them in their breeding plumage.
Parking is available in the Museum's parking lot below the museum.
"The Shorebird Guide" by Michael O'Brien et al is an excellent reference for this class. Scopes are helpful on field trips.
