Avian evolution - Fall 2018


Sandhill Cranes - ancient birds

This is a special class sponsored by Marin Audubon and taught at the Audubon Center in Tiburon. It focuses on Avian Evolution - including the scientists whose work has led to the modern theory of evolution, the evolutionary processes that have resulted in over 10,000 species of birds today, and the geological events that have been much of the cause of today's avian multitude.

There will be 6 Thursday classes starting October 18 and running through December 6. Two field trips will be scheduled on several alternate days.
