Here you'll find some descriptions of birding trips, with references to field guides, site guides, restaurants places to stay, along with some personal comments on what we saw, where we went, and who we met. Also, there are usually a few photographs or links to a photo site. Hopefully it's useful to others for planning their own birding trips.

A Photo Workshop with Matthew Studebaker, and friends Eleanor Briccetti and Larry Selman. We started before the class at the famous birding site of Magee Marsh, then joined Matthew at Cuyahoga National Park where migrant warblers, vireos and flycatchers were gathering. Finally I went down to Southern Ohio to photograph Henslow's Sparrow, a bird I had not seen before.

A road trip starting in the Bay Area and driving to Mount Lemmon in Arizona, then visiting Ash Canyon, Bisbee, Paton's Back Yard, Cave Creek and Portal. Stayed at Larry Selman's cabanas in Bisbee for a few days, and visited friends Dick Spight and Judith Fortney in Portal (where the stream was flooding). Peter Hawrylyshyn joined me for a part of the trip to photograph some hummers.
